Digital Strategy Institute Releases ‘Digital Strategy 2025’ Report Highlighting Global Talent Surge and AI Imperative

Boston 12 December 2025: Digital Strategy Institute (DSI) today released a new global research report, Digital Strategy 2025: Global Leadership, Talent Demand, and the AI Imperative, highlighting that digital‑strategy roles have more than doubled worldwide since 2021 and are now heavily concentrated in advanced digital economies such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and India. The study finds that organizations are struggling to fill leadership roles that combine strategy, technology, data, and AI, even as most large enterprises now pursue digital‑first business models.

The report analyzes indexed job growth, geographic hubs, sector‑wise demand, and 40 KPIs that boards and executives can use to measure digital strategy performance, with a particular focus on how AI is reshaping decision‑making and operating models. It also introduces DSI’s IMDIQ™ framework for digital leadership competence and examines how structured certification programs such as the Certified Digital Strategy Leader (CDSL) can help close the talent and capability gap.

“Digital is no longer a channel decision; it is a business model decision,” said Andrew Jackson, Program Director at the Digital Strategy Institute. “This report makes clear that organizations which invest in integrated digital strategy leadership—grounded in AI, data, and responsible innovation—will define the competitive landscape of the next decade.” The full report, along with supporting charts and data, is available for download at DigitalStrategyInstitute.org.
